Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to every booking and every stay at the villa El Aleph, located at Partida Dehesa 312, 29716 Málaga, Spain.

By confirming a booking, the guest acknowledges these terms and accepts them without reservation, also on behalf of all co-guests included in the booking.

The applicable rates are communicated at the time of booking and cover the stay at the villa as described in the confirmation.

On booking we ask for a deposit of 50% of the booking amount. The balance is to be paid no later than 8 weeks before the start of the stay. For a booking made within 8 weeks of the stay, the total amount is due immediately.

Additional costs such as the final cleaning (€275, to be paid on site to the property manager) and the use of air conditioning and heating (€0.65/kWh, payable on site at check-out) are always clearly communicated in advance.

Cancellations must always be made in writing to info@elaleph-retreat.com. The date the email is received counts as the cancellation date.

• For cancellations more than 8 weeks before the start of the stay, the 50% deposit is not refunded.
• For cancellations within 8 weeks of the start of the stay, or in case of no-show, the full amount is due.
• We strongly recommend taking out cancellation and travel insurance.

In exceptional circumstances (such as force majeure, damage to the house or unforeseen technical issues), El Aleph may be forced to cancel or change a booking.

In that case the guest is notified as soon as possible and any amounts already paid are refunded in full. No additional compensation can be claimed.

The home may only be used for recreational purposes and by the number of people stated in the booking.

Parties, events or commercial activities are not allowed without prior written consent from El Aleph.

The guest undertakes to treat the home, garden and immediate surroundings with respect and to observe the house rules.

El Aleph cannot be held liable for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings, nor for personal injuries that may occur during the stay.

Use of the pool, the outdoor areas and all amenities is always at your own responsibility. Supervision of minors is entirely the responsibility of the accompanying adults.

El Aleph is also not liable for temporary interruptions of utilities (water, electricity, internet) outside its control.

Pets are not allowed in the home.

Smoking is not permitted inside the home. Smoking is only allowed in the designated outdoor areas. Please dispose of cigarette butts carefully due to the risk of fire in nature.

Out of respect for neighbours and the surroundings, we ask you to observe quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am.

These terms are governed by Belgian law, without prejudice to mandatory provisions of Spanish law that apply directly to the stay on site.

In case of disputes, we always seek an amicable solution first. Failing that, only the courts of the district of El Aleph's registered office have jurisdiction.
